Easy Steps For Home Made Mutton Biriyani

Clean mutton with turmeric and salt.

In a heavy bottomed pan/cooker, heat Oil 4tbsp, Ghee 2 tbsp

Add whole spices and saute (Cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf- each 2, star anise, mace, stone flower- each 1, saunf 1 tsp)

Add 3 medium onions thinly sliced. Saute till golden brown

Add 3-4 green chillies.

Grind 1 inch ginger, 8-10 cloves garlic and 2 green chillies

2 tbsp ginger, garlic and green chillies paste.

Make another paste with mint leaves, coriander leaves and 10-12 cashews

2 tbsp of mint, coriander leaves and cashew paste. Cook for 2-3 mins.

Add 2-3 medium sized tomatoes chopped.

Add little salt and Cook until it blends well with the onion mixture.

Add mutton and saute.

Add 1 tsp chilli powder

1/2 cup beaten curd. Saute for 2 mins.

Add water 3 cups and pressure cook mutton for a 20-30 mins/5-6 whistles.

Add soaked rice 2 1/2 cups, mix well and check salt and spices.

Pressure cook for 10-12 mins on low flame.

Mix well.

Serve hot with onion raitha.
